Replay: Brooke Warner shares Five Things She's Learned about How Threshold Moments Shape Our Stories
Check out the first five minutes of her recent class.
“Writers, creatives, deep feelers, and thinkers face a challenging future as we enter 2025. The world order is shifting, and – particularly with the new year – many of us understand that it’s time to take stock of things, evaluate our priorities and desires, and sort out where we want to focus our creative energies.”
– Brooke Warner, Five Things I’ve Learned about How Threshold Moments Shape Our Stories
Brooke Warner recently returned to Five Things I’ve Learned to share her class, Five Things I’ve Learned about How Threshold Moments Shape Our Stories. In this two-hour session, she guided writers and creatives through an exploration of life’s major transitions—“threshold moments”—and how these pivotal experiences shape both personal and creative journeys. Through reflection and writing, participants uncovered deeper meaning and inspiration for their work.
As the publisher of She Writes Press and SparkPress, president of Warner Coaching Inc., and author of Write On, Sisters!, Green-Light Your Book, What’s Your Book?, and three books on memoir, Brooke brings a wealth of expertise to her teaching. A TEDx speaker and cohost of the weekly Write-Minded podcast, she previously served as executive editor of Seal Press and Chairperson of the Independent Book Publishers Association. She also sits on the boards of the Bay Area Book Festival and the National Association of Memoir Writers and writes a monthly column for Publishers Weekly.
This marks Brooke’s sixth class with Five Things I’ve Learned. You can watch the first five minutes of her previous sessions right here on Substack:
