I love this series! And Sarah Fay ! (Exclamation points just for her!) she’s spot on in her evaluation of American mental health “systems”. There truly are not any systems in place. Perhaps one day we will return to a way of being that knows we must all care for each other.

Ps. Sarah, I hope your Dad’s fall wasn’t too serious 💞

You say not everything is black or white but sometimes it is grey. I see it differently. Sometimes it is blue, red, green or even colors outside the visual range of humans.

This was beautiful. I experienced a mental health crisis with a family member. It was daunting. If it weren’t for DBT we may have lost this person. But DBT was not covered by insurance. We paid out of savings which most Americans can’t afford. Meanwhile, I always thought the tools of DBT should be taught in every HS in the country.

I really enjoyed your post Ms. Sarah. I have Mental Health Issues that I have struggled with the past twenty years. I am currently out on Medical Leave due to my stress from work and my anxiety. I go back in a few weeks and I am hoping someday I can too change my job. I ideally would love to write full time and be at peace. This time while I was off writing I truly enjoyed it. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Blessings to you and your family. :)

I’m 2 yrs and 8 months into recovery from alcohol addiction, and I’m really appreciative of the discussion around the possibility to recover fully. I am hopeful. Thank you so much for all of this, Sarah. I’m wishing you and your dad all the best always.
